Tasteful Itinerary: Dapur {Asian Tapas & Lounge}

February 8, 2012

My sister, Samantha told me about this luscious modern atmosphere so, I decided to try it out with the help of these people…Pat, my mom, my sister and her best friend. It opened it’s doors in August 2011. This restaurant is one of those hidden in plain sight, obvious to all but seen only by a few.

Here is what we indulged in…

We started our hungry stomaches with tapas: Spring Rolls (Seasonal vegetables wrapped in a crispy rice paper with a pineapple) with Peach Chutney Dipping Sauce. Then, Tempura Assorted (Shrimp, Sweet Potatoes & Zucchini). Steamed Chicken Dumplings with Sesame Soy Dipping Sauce. The Oxtails Soup (Beef tails, assorted vegetables and mushrooms) was falling off from the bones… one bite begged for another. Mmm… Last but not least… we had HAD to try the Crispy Duck with Vegetables and Dapur Chili Sauce and a side of Sushi Rice. The duck was perfect with each bite. Tender and crisp. Oh and let me NOT forget the hot chili sauces we had with our food. Ok, now here’s the icing on the cake… Passionfruit Pie. Who does that?!? US!! lol. p.s. TO DIE FOR. Melted in our mouths. Yum.

I highly recommend. Conveniently located on 1620 N. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33305.
