Cultural Scene: Olive Oil Tasting and Talk

April 22, 2012

Never thought that there was more to olive oil until Beth Sadowsky, owner of i heart Olive Oil educated 12 of us about the color, scent, flavor, health benefits and unusual food pairings.
The olive oil lover, Beth and I.

This is the first event for Thousand Pound Egg. I've posted about this unique little shop before... you can check it out here: Thousand Pound Egg.

Tasting olive oil is almost just the same way as tasting wine. You look, spin, smell, sip, gargle and swallow. Interesting... Have you ever heard of adding sea salt and olive oil to your chocolate ice cream? This was a first for me. Quite a combination! A cool new dose of flavor. Give it a try!

Pat and I had a wonderful night. Something new for us! Met some cool individuals. I highly recommend going to these events just because it transforms into something special AND let me not forget to add... red wine and yummy food... BLISS!

Met a new friend named Paula that loves Friends just as much as I do.
